Blog > Local Town Named 'Most Charming'

Like every living, breathing, red-blooded American, HGTV is having a love affair with the charming small town. In fact, they recently shared a list of the 30 most charming small towns in all of America. They claim it was hard to narrow it down to just 30 (and we don’t doubt it), but we’re certainly not arguing that one local hamlet made the list. Which suburb is it? Read on to find out.
With its vibrant art scene, murals dedicated to music, and adorable historic district, Concord is the local ‘burb that’s the talk of the town. Just thirty minutes from Uptown Charlotte and right near our bread and butter Lake Norman towns, Concord is just as charming as HGTV says it is. Of course, we’ve known that for years but it’s nice to see the national recognition.
After receiving the distinction, CharlotteFive interviews Concord’s downtown development manager Johnson Bray. He is quoted as saying, “As a community, we pour so much love into our downtown and take great pride in preserving our history while continuously offering residents and visitors new experiences. We have the best variety of uniquely local dining, shopping and entertainment, and it is a great affirmation to have others recognize our downtown and the small businesses that help make it so special.”
Because Concord is such a great place to live, housing is in high demand. It takes a dedicated professional to help you navigate the housing market there. If you’re looking for a house in this highly desirable market, contact us so that we can get you in your dream Concord home. You’ll see for yourself why it was named one of the most charming towns in the entire country.
