They draw a lot of attention and focus and so in order to be the most desirable, a cabinet refresh may be in order. If the actual condition of the cabinets is still good, a simple fresh coat of paint may be enough to do the trick. This project isn’t technically difficult, even for beginners. It is tedious though, and a sloppy paint job can turn off buyers. Be sure to go step by step, properly, with priming and sanding, to ensure a professional finish. 

Front Door Makeover

The front door is the first impression potential buyers have for your home, so why not make it a memorable one? This could be as simply as, again, updating the color with a pop of paint. Or, if you have any glass features on the door you could consider glass etching the street name or house number. Perhaps add a unique doorknocker or even a vinyl decal saying hello! 

Outdoor Space

In the past few years, the desire for curated outdoor living spaces has exploded. Chalk it up to experiencing a global pandemic to create the desire in people for space outside to mingle. The level of outdoor space you create will have a lot to do with your skills. If you’re brand new to DIY then maybe building an entire deck isn’t really possible. Or, perhaps you watch a slew of YouTube videos and decide you can handle it! Maybe it’s as easy as installing a pergola, string lights, and lots of potted plants. You might even decide a fire pit is the way to go! The bottom line is that sprucing up or creating outdoor spaces is definitely a way to get a great return on your investment.
