North Carolina is renowned the world over for its prestigious and pristine golf courses. In fact, famed courses in the Pinehurst region have attracted major tournaments for years and years. Recently, Charlotte’s Got A Lot just put out a list of best North Carolina golfing. While they highlighted Pinehurst Resort, two Lake Norman courses also made the list.

First, Charlotte’s Got A Lot shared an area favorite, Skybrook Golf Course in Huntersville. This gorgeous, semi-private course winds through the Skybrook neighborhood. The course was designed with natural flora and fauna in mind, so you’ll take note of the (as Charlotte’s Got A Lot puts it), “challenging but approachable” course. It’s incredibly scenic with lots of varying plants alongside the MiniVerde Bermudagrass Greens.
The other Lake Norman-area course to make the Charlotte’s Got A Lot list is Mooresville Golf Club. The club went through a massive $5 million dollar renovation back in 2016, and boy can you tell! It now boasts a 17,000 square-foot immaculate clubhouse, sweeping greenways, and challenging elevations. There is also a bistro, event venue, and expanded practice facility on site. Tee times book up sometimes a week or more in advance so be sure to call as soon as you can.
