One of the pride and joys of the Lake Norman area is the town of Davidson, and specifically their community theater program. Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established to produce theatre that entertains, enriches, and encourages community participation in the dramatic arts.

Everyone always looks forward to their theatrical performances, and their upcoming production of Murder on the Orient Express will be no different. Opening Sept. 22 and running select nights until Oct. 9, this play has been described as, “A funny, fast-paced thrill ride…There are twists and turns aplenty on this intrigue-filled international journey.” by the Hartford Courant.

What exactly is the play about? From Davidson Community Players:

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer in case he or she decides to strike again.

Located at the Armour Street Theater, tickets run $20 for adults, $18 for Seniors (65+), and $15 for students (under 21). Get your tickets here before they sell out, and come see for yourself why the locals love Davidson Community Players!
